Macabre Monday – Monochromatic Monstrosities
Halloween, Haunted Design House, Inkadinkado 5 Comments »Today’s Macabre Monday challenge over at Haunted Design House called for something sinister in Monochrome. I thought this would be pretty easy (do you hear an evil laugh?) but turns out, it was harder than I thought it would be! I kept wanting to add color to it and getting that image embossed just right took some doing (yes, I definitely hear evil laughter…)
So here you have my little graveyard scene. I embossed the image and some very smooth cardstock I had, but unfortunately don’t recall the manufactures’ name. (I do know it is not Stampin’ Up). Once I had the right cardstock, it embossing came out pretty good. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the spider web on the middle panel. Since it wasn’t showing up very good, I decided to use some Skickles to trace the web. Not sure if I like the effect or not, but otherwise, the embossing got a little lost. The back glitter panel is paper by American Crafts. The spiderweb ribbon, I may have gotten through Oriental Trading, but I can’t be sure, sorry. I have a super bad habit of not paying attention to such things (sigh).
Thanks for stopping by!
