In a Sweet Pea Dream #9 :: Under the Sea

Dragon, In a Sweet Pea Dream, Sea Horse, Sweet Pea Stamps, Tropical 2 Comments »

I created this card for The In a Sweet Pea Dream Blog Challenge, Under the Sea.  This is an image by Jennifer Nilsson called Sea Dragon.  He is absolutely adorable, and if you haven’t seen her other stuff, you should head over to Sweet Pea Stamps now and check it out.

I had a different idea in mind when creating this card. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it measured out the way I wanted so had to change my plan.  The bottom panel was created using designer paper by Creative Imaginations and cutting the squares of the shells out to create my tiles.  The background paper is from AdornIt.  I cut out the sea dragon and popped him up to add some dimension, however, since he wasn’t the easiest to cut out, I don’t know how soon I will be trying that again!  The little star fish are real.  I buy those at a shell store in St. Augustine. I then added the charm and rhinestones and a little bit of stickles around his “gills” for some sparkle.  Hope you like, thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:  Stamp: Jennifer Nilsson’s Sea Dragon, Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps; Paper: AdornIt and Creative Imaginations.  Charm, Starfish, Twine, Stickles, Rhinestones.  Colored with Copics.

Another card I created for the “In a Sweet Pea Dream” Blog challenge #8   The stamps is Caron Vinson’s Summer Fun From Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps.  I decided I needed to work on my ribbon tying.  Bows are definately out for me, but the bow looking know thing looks like it may work out for me.  ; p   The clouds in the background I made using a cloud cutout and chalks.  These Caron Vinson stamps are really a lot of fun to play with!  Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:  Stamp – Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps; Paper: My Minds Eye; Ribbon, Charm, Decorative pin, Brads, Stickles, Thread.  Colored with Copics.

In a Sweet Pea Dream #8 Ribbons and Bows

Basic Grey, Fairy, In a Sweet Pea Dream, My Minds Eye, Sweet Pea Stamps 2 Comments »

Hope everyone is having a happy Wednesday!  I created this card today for both the “In a Sweet Pea Dream” Blog challenge #8 and the sketch challenge at SCS.  The stamps is Caron Vinson’s Moonlight Fairy From Sweet Pea Rubber Stamps.  Love her sweet face. I cut her out and popped her up for some dimension, and then cut out her wings for a second time for another layer.  Added stickles to her wings and the mushroom for some shimmer.  I thought the bottom need something, so I stitched a swirl, not sure if I like it, still deciding!  I used my Cuttlebug and Basic Greys plaid embossing folder for the textured background, and found a fairy charm that ALMOST mirrors my Moonlight Fairy that I just had to use.  I’m the worlds worst ribbon user, (and ribbon being the theme for this weeks challenge at Sweet Pea really did make this a challenge!)  It took me forever to just get the ribbon tied decently, but for as awful as I know I am with it, don’t think it turned out to bad.  Definately a fun image to work with.

Supplies:  Stamps; Sweet Pea Caron Vinson’s Moonlight Fairy, Cuttlebug, Basic Grey Embossing Folder, Stickles, Thread, Jewels, Ribbon, Fairy Charm, Paper; My Minds Eye.  Colored with Copics.

This card is for today’s card sketch challenge at SCS and the challenge over at In a Sweet Pea Dream “Anything at all #7″ for Sweet Pea Stamps.

For the sentiment, I just cut out a phrase that was on the background paper that I used from Making Memories Spellbound collection. I stitched the corners and cut out then popped up my little pirate with form tape to give it some dimension. I then added some stickles to her hat, coat and boots. I used chalks to create the clouds in the background.

In a Sweet Pea Dream :: Anything At All :: Challenge #7

Angel, In a Sweet Pea Dream, Sweet Pea Stamps 1 Comment »

For this card I used Sweet Pea Stamps – Ching-Chou Kuik’s Puppet Angel in the Circus.  Kept the card simple, just adding a hand stitch around the middle (I have tried using a sewing maching before, I I just can’t get the hang of it!!) panel and some brads in the corners.  Be sure to hop over to the In a Sweet Pea Dream Challenge Blog so you can join in the fun!

Hi Everyone!  I made this card for the 1st of many Sweet Pea Stamps challenges that are now going on over at their new challenge blog found here.  I think Sweet Pea has some of the most fabulous stamps and if you haven’t seen them yet, you definately need to hop over there and check them out!!

For my challenge card I picked Elaine Cox’s Kitty Pumpkin Witch.  I love the EK Success bat border punch and used it on my middle panel.  I used the Cuttlebug and the dots embossing folder on the circle panel, then added some stickles to make everything sparkley.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

Supplies/Details:  Stamps – Sweet Pea; Paper – Glitter Doodlebug Designs, Dots The Paper Studio; Robin’s Nest Dew Drops; Stickles; EK Success Bat Border Punch; Cuttlebug; Colored with Copics.
