Happy New Year!

New Years, The Paper Studio, Tiddly Inks 2 Comments »

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!  To celebrate I made this card using one of Tiddly Inks adorable digitial images “Toasting Properly.”  She is just too cute with her poison bottle and skull earrings : p  She is my kind of girl!  The paper is from The Paper Studio. Both the dots and the stripes are velvet-y.  I thought this (and the black) would be for an elegant occassion, and I used red velvet ribbon across the card to try and break things up a bit.  I didn’t have a New Years Sentiment, so I printed that out on the computer.  The clock is Tim Holtz.  I added Stickles to her dress to make it sparkle.  I think she’s really for that drink now!

Lovely skull earrings dear, and whatever did you put in this Cocktail? It’s to die for!”

Supplies:  Digital Stamp – Tiddly Inks; Paper – The Paper Studio; Clock – Tim Holtz; Stickles, Black Glitter Pearls, Ribbon. Colored with Copics.

Candy Cane Forest

This card was created with stamps from The Stampin’ Place (Trees) and Coronado Island Stamps (Winter Lady).  I added stickles to the trees and fun flock to her coat.  Really fun and easy card to make.

Supplies:  Stamps, Trees The Stampin’ Place, Winter lady Cornoando Island;  Paper:  The Paper Studio; Brads, Stikles, Fun Flock.  Colored with Copics.

Winter Snowman

Christmas, Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Serendipity Rubber Stamps, Winter, Yule 1 Comment »

Created this little scene with Northwoods RS (background) and Serendipity Snowman.  I used the Cuttlebug to add texture to the back panel and then stamped out the Northwoods winter scene and cut out my snowman to pop him up in the scene.  I added stickles to the trees and Inkssentials Glossy Accents to the pond to make it look iced over (probably can’t see it to well in the photo).

Supplies:  Stamps – Northwoods RS and Serendipity; Cuttlebug, Brads, Ribbon, Stickles, Glossy Accents. Colored with Copics.

Kitty Gabriel

Angel, Christmas, DCWV, My Minds Eye, Third Coast Stamps, Winter, Yule 1 Comment »

I created this card for the Ways to use it challenge over at SCS.  Kitty Gabriel can be found at Third Coast Rubber Stamps.  Isn’t he adorable?  I used a red felt ribbon on the middle and just glued two gold pearls to it. The image was a little large, so in order to make it a nice square that would fit on the card, I cut around the horn, wings tail and banner, leaving those parts to hang off the edges. I like the effect!

Little Pirate

This card is for today’s card sketch challenge at SCS and the challenge over at In a Sweet Pea Dream “Anything at all #7″ for Sweet Pea Stamps.

For the sentiment, I just cut out a phrase that was on the background paper that I used from Making Memories Spellbound collection. I stitched the corners and cut out then popped up my little pirate with form tape to give it some dimension. I then added some stickles to her hat, coat and boots. I used chalks to create the clouds in the background.

In a Sweet Pea Dream :: Anything At All :: Challenge #7

Angel, In a Sweet Pea Dream, Sweet Pea Stamps 1 Comment »

For this card I used Sweet Pea Stamps – Ching-Chou Kuik’s Puppet Angel in the Circus.  Kept the card simple, just adding a hand stitch around the middle (I have tried using a sewing maching before, I I just can’t get the hang of it!!) panel and some brads in the corners.  Be sure to hop over to the In a Sweet Pea Dream Challenge Blog so you can join in the fun!

Winter Skater

Christmas, Martha Stewart, Third Coast Stamps, Winter, Yule 3 Comments »

These stamps are from Third Coast Rubber Stamps.  I masked my skater to add the trees behind her.  I LOVE the way this came out.  Had some trouble picking out the colors for her outfit, had to start over a couple of times, but I think the pink and blue came out pretty good.  Added some fun flock to her coat. The punch was from Martha Stewart and the glitter paper is American Crafts.

Rising Flame

Sweet Pea Stamps Ching-Chou Kuik’s Rising Flame.  I loved coloring this image – it was a little bit of a challenge.  A lot of blending!  My hand was tired : p  Anyway, I think it came out really nice.  Orange glitter paper is from Best Occasion.  I’m not sure the manufacturer of the green glitter swirl paper.  Used the Fiskars Wave punch to make the middle panel.  Was going for a “flame” look.  Didn’t quite make it, but considering I have nothing else “flamey” guess it will have to do.

Kayla and Santa

This is my beautiful baby Kayla!  She got to meet Santa the other day, and although she had been plenty naughty this year, Santa told her if she can manage to behave herself for a week or two, he MIGHT leave her more then coal.  I have my doubts that she can do it, but we will see!

Winter Watcher

Sweet Pea Stamps, Winter, Yule 1 Comment »

Been crazy trying to get all my Halloween and then Winter cards done before I move on to participating in a few of my favorite challenges.  There just does not see to be enough time in the day to create all the cards I need for the holidays!

In the holiday spirit, I thought I would post one of my absolute favorite images from Sweet Pea Stamps called Winter Watcher.  This just happens to be one of my favorite cards of all time too ; ?

Sweet Pea Winter Watcher

I’m not sure what company the paper comes from. All it said on the back was scraphut, and since I can’t even recall where I got it, that isn’t much help. The other dp in the back, had nothing written on it, so probably came in a kit.

The middle panel was embossed with cuddlebug. I stitched the back and middle panels, and then cut out my robed chicky and popped her up so she would stand out a little more from the cat. Added some stickles and stitched on the charms.

Supplies/Details:  Stamps – Winter Watcher Sweet Pea RS; Paper – Unknown; Buttons, Cuttlebug, Thread.  Colored with Copics.
