The Corrosive Challenge #202 – Color Me Happy

Aurora Wings, Corrosive Challenge, Day of the Dead, Santa Muerte, Skulls No Comments »

This weeks Corrosive Challenge is sponsored by Aurora Wings and Art by Miran theme is “Color Me Happy” were we are to use our favorite coloring medium.  Of course, my favorite medium is Copics, and that is what I used to color this gorgeous image by Aurora Wings, “Santa Muerte”.  This image had A LOT of detail, so I was a little intimated, but I kept at it, and I think she turned out beautiful.  I printed her out bigger then I normally would have because I didn’t want the detail to get lost. I was a little concerned because I didn’t have to much room to get to creative with a card layout, but once a added some lace I think it really added what it needed to draw it all together.

The Corrosive Challenge “Crop it”

Our challenge this week at the Corrosive Challenge Blog is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and the theme is “Crop it” to crop your image in some way.  I love this image Parrish-New Orleans, because I love anything dark and voodoo-y :p  I cropped the bottom of her dress.  I just kept seeing her in a frame, on the wall of an old Louisiana plantation, and so that is what I tried to create with my frame, and spooky cobweb/spider.  The frame are just some then wood slates I picked up in a thrift store.  The web is Halloween webbing and the spider punch is made by EK Success.  Hope you like her.  Thanks for visiting!

Here is a card I created using a digital stamp from Delicious Doodles.  First I colored here with Copic markers, then added some layers, lace and pearls. Paper is from “The Paper Studio”
